I am an experienced Managing Director and GAICD with a deep knowledge and extensive experience building, expanding and leveraging strategic and long-term relationships with senior-level investors and key industry partners across the institutional investment community in the APAC region. Over the last 25+ years I have specialised in identifying and driving business development opportunities and attracting new and additional capital commitments by initiating, developing, and managing new and existing relationships with investors, consultants, and advisors in Australia and New Zealand and other parts of Asia. In addition to prospecting for new business I have successfully marketed to various investors, including superannuation funds, consultants, funds of funds, and other key institutional capital partners, as well as the wholesale market including family offices, large dealer groups ensuring they receive accurate and timely product information and in-depth analyses.My success building and strengthening relationships with key institutional investors and strategic business consultants across Australia and the Asia Pacific, together with my direct access to a large network of C-Suite Executives (CEOs, CIOs & COOs) and senior-level investment professionals, has been crucial in securing large billion-dollar mandates.I have also been involved in setting up and agreeing business strategy for Australia and New Zealand and for the APAC region, playing a key role in merging funds management operations and "Right Sizing" businesses.I also have extensive experience applying for and securing an Australian Financial Service Licence (AFSL) being a "Key Man" and Responsible Manager on a licence and championing compliance with relevant industry regulations and requirements across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.As a strategic and pragmatic leader, I have built and led high performing teams of >10 people, including institutional sales, wholesale sales, marketing and operational staff, and enjoy developing and mentoring staff. I am interested in responsible investment management and doing my part to combat global warming and I like to stay up to date on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues.I also understand the importance of maintaining a healthy work/life balance, so when I’m not leading businesses to achieve their strategic goals, you can probably find me swimming, cycling, running, skiing, fishing and/or travelling.
