• Held dual roles of Editor and Art Director of the Singapore American newspaper, a glossy monthly with a circulation of 6,000 that has been the association’s voice in the community for over 53 years.
• As editor, sought talented contributors, collaborated with them on topical ideas and presentation style, edited all submissions and sometimes wrote articles of interest for expatriate readers. Ad revenue for the.
• As Art Director, formatted and did layout of the entire 32 - 44 page newspaper. Dramatically improved the design, readability, organization and satisfaction with this flagship of the American Association.
• Responsible for creating all of the association's ads, fliers, brochures and business cards, as well as publicity for their numerous events.
• Co-edited and designed the 11th edition of "Living in Singapore" reference, the indispensable guidebook for newcomers to Singapore.

Revamped and revitalized the U.S. Embassy newsletter, the Tejo Talk, in Lisbon. Authored numerous popular feature articles about local culture, food, history and events.

Researched and surveyed local economy, city, activities and morale to present a report on living conditions in Ankara, Turkey. Called a ‘Post Differential Report,’ it is used by the U.S. Department of State to determine if premium pay for U.S. Foreign Service Officers should be increased, decreased or maintained. Report resulted in continuance of a 10%.

Supervised department creating user documentation and packaging, marketing and advertising materials for distribution software development company. Managed department budget, purchased, installed and maintained all PCs, software and printers used in producing communications materials.
