As the Engineering Leader tasked with developing an Ads Platform to drive a new line of revenue, my responsibilities span the entire tech stack, from ad creation workflows and user tracking to operational interfaces and the ads engine. Our core mission was to efficiently organize, analyze, and present data, enabling users to take actionable steps with the complete set of TIcketmaster's user data through our integrations with platforms like Facebook and MailChimp. The Fanbuilder application is now a key offering in Ticketmaster's B2B portfolio.Built an internal user tracking system to collect visitor data on behalf of clients for marketing purposes. Using Api Gateway and ECS Fargate, we architected an autoscaling tracking API able to handle Ticketmasters rigorous traffic during on-sales. Leveraging Elasticsearch to merge user behavior data, demographics, and purchase data, we were able to build a marketing feature that allowed clients to custom build audiences and look-alike audiences for marketing.Taking a hands-on approach, I owned the full-stack development, utilizing a range of technologies including Hadoop, MapReduce, Oozie, ElasticSearch, Spring, Gulp, Jenkins, AngularJS, and AWS infrastructure.
