Represented ExxonMobil to assure welding activities performed met specified criteria. Inspected welds and flange bolt-ups to ensure proper fit-up, alignment, correct gasket size and material, and torque. Witnessed manual and pneumatic torques as well as lok-ring installations. Reviewed and verified all non-destructive testing documentation as well as witnessed hydrostatic testing of field constructed spool pieces. Inspected all repaired/replaced equipment to ensure correct equipment installed, location, set pressures, identification, etc.

Assured quality of work performed through interpretation of isometric drawings and P&ID’s as well as visual examination of welding activities on structure, piping, vessels, exchangers, furnaces, and numerous valves and fittings. Ensured compliance with various codes, standards, and specifications including, but not limited to, AWS D1.1, ASME B31.1, and ASME B31.3. Generated weld maps, daily reports, and JSA’s. Coordinated non-destructive testing where necessary such as liquid penetrant testing, magnetic particle testing, radiographic testing, and hydrostatic pressure testing.
