With twenty five years of expanding experience in accounting and bookkeeping, I contribute a wealth of accounting technician skills. 

After earning my English Literature degree from Humboldt State University I purchased a retail comic book shop in the university's town of Arcata. As a sole proprietor of "Empire Comix & Cards" I managed staff and all business and bookkeeping needs for the store. Several years later my wife and I decided to move our lives to Los Angeles. There, and later in Denver, I developed deep accounting and project management skills working in staff positions at corporate law firms. After over a decade away, we returned to Arcata and I was able to put those well-rounded skills to work as an integral member of the Accounts Payable department at my alma mater. 

In October of 2020 we relocated to the beautiful Central Oregon city of Bend, where I have been part of a great team at the Deschutes Public Library.Specialties:
