The role includes:• Supervising and actively leading coordination within the team responsible for cost and schedule management across multiple projects.• Monitoring the planning and delivery of multiple, diverse projects simultaneously, driving ownership and accountability for customer milestones, managing project dependencies and risks and ensuring each project team is well coordinated towards successful project delivery.• Facilitating development of cost estimates and budgets, leading ad-hoc cost studies that enable rapid decision-making, determining potential cost impacts of potential risks as they are identified and establish reasonable cost baselines.• Reviewing and maintaining schedules and budget tracking documents, compiling timely and accurate, regular reporting detailing the progress on all projects in Japan for compliance with ours and/or customer requirements.• Applying a commercial approach in all aspects of the work, collaborating with other Colt functions to ensure that the procurement of all items is conducted on the most cost-effective basis to drive reduction in costs, considering not just initial costs but total cost of ownership.• Providing external-facing relationship management support with stakeholders including end-users, consultants, contractors, suppliers.• Gaining a firm understanding of customer requirements and priorities, especially regarding environment, health and safety (EHS) and commissioning (Cx).• Managing the relevant project reporting strategy to identify and address risk to the business.

The role included:• Managing the general contractor at the site on a regular basis to ensure schedule and cost requirements are met.• Reporting on site progress (shell and core and fit-out) on a monthly basis to the client's customer.• Reporting on environment, health and safety (EHS) on a weekly and monthly basis to the client's customer.• Managing the installation of security equipment (for example, cameras in data halls and offices, card readers at entrances, cabling and racks) for the client's customer.• Managing fit-out works for the client's customer, including the supply of furniture in the offices and storage spaces.• Managing the commissioning (Cx) of the data center equipment (for example, UPS units, generators, CRAHs, chillers and buffer tanks) from L1 to IST.• Working with the general contractor to improve the results of the monthly schedule health checks.In parallel, the role also involved establishing the Linesight Japan office in Tokyo.
