Brette Sims is a visual artist and humanitarian who believes in the power of now. Brette depicts women with bold & moving features. Her work is channeled light. She healed herself from depression & anxiety through self love and art. She believes that this is also possible for others. She creates artistic reflections of inner love, magic, growth, and presence. Her work exists to remind women of color (and all people) not to be afraid to shine even when your light conflicts with societal norms. Brette depicts the moon and flowers in almost every one of her creations, which represent light in darkness and the ability to grow and stay grounded in the present moment through obstacles. Flowers teach us stillness. Flowers remind us to be here now. Brette’s work reminds us all to cultivate the garden within. The flower of consciousness needs the mud out of which it grows. Remember your inner love, protect your magic, courageously keep growing and always remember that the only moment that really exists, is NOW.
