As the Technology Strategist and Director of Interactive Business Development at JK Design, I was responsible for strategizing, analyzing and designing interactive solutions for clients. I managed a large-scale development project using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies. This involved daily interaction with the development teams to schedule project milestones, select and implement appropriate technology solutions. I participated in management conferences and decisions related to project planning and resource management. In this position, I had significant client contact, including weekly in-person status meetings with client stakeholders and development resources.

I provided full lifecycle development to small and mid-sized companies. This required hands-on development, as well as sourcing and managing development and creative support.

As the VP of Technology Services, I managed all technology support services for a growing software and software services consulting company. This included managing System Administration, Technical Documentation, Technical Training, Client Support, Marketing, and Business Analysis. I contributed to the strategic decisions and directions of Stormlight Consulting with Senior Management. I also participated in all business, contractual, and legal decisions regarding the direction of the company including the negotiations leading to a major investment and partial acquisition by a major software company. I maintained Technology department intranet including webserver, cgi scripts, and search engine. Under the direction of the Technology Lead, I created a web-based document management system for use with CVS and document repository. Through my management of the intranet and document management system, I Initiated and led an organizational knowledge management initiative which included acquisition and integration of video, sound, technical documentation, emails, discussion threads, and notes. As a member of our technology project team, I participated in the migration of web servers from Netscape Communications Server to Apache 1.3.6. I also participated in upgrade to Vignette StoryServer 4.1 and drafted all installation and migration documentation. This included the creation and managment of our Data Warehouse portal site.My training responsibilities included delivering JAD session training and participating in project JAD sessions. I drafted Data Warehouse support documentation and delivered training in use of MicroStrategy DSSWeb traffic analysis tools. I also developed a method for delivering integrated online help (patent issued). I drafted Real Time Query (RTQ) standard for content management which ultimately became part of the Information and Content Exchange (ICE) standard.

As a consultant at ICM, I instructed students in the Legal and Corporate environments in the use of computer software including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, database, and document management packages. I participated in the implementation, training, and ongoing support of enterprise wide and ISO 9000 compliant document management systems for such clients as AT&T Submarine Systems Inc and Ernst & Young. I drafted standard and customized documentation, prepared and organized lesson plans and created classroom exercises. Client on-site responsibilities included walk around floor support and help desk support services. I was required to quickly learn, document, teach, and support applications.
