Under his leadership, Greenlots forged partnerships with General Motors, Ford, BMW, Kia, Southern California Edison, National Grid, Avista, and Southern Company, and the company was selected by Electrify America to deploy up to 5,000 fast chargers in cities across the United States. Brett also led the company through multiple funding rounds and the successful acquisition by Royal Dutch Shell. Brett advocates for private sector climate leadership via his roles on the Aligned Climate Capital Advisory Board, ChargeNet Board of Advisors, Prologis Board of Advisors, P97 Board of Advisors, Ceres’ President’s Council, LACI Advisory Council, and the Energy Institute Advisory Board at his alma mater, the University of Texas at Austin. A decade ago, he co-founded the Open Charge Alliance, which championed open global standards to drive down infrastructure costs and enable more widespread and equitable access to charging infrastructure, and he is also a board member emeritus for the Alliance for Electric Transportation. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, who is a television writer and producer, and his son.
