First hired to create and develop compelling visual communications for the Alliance of Baptists, a organization of individuals and congregations deeply rooted in the Baptist traditions of freedom and dissent, I stepped into a role combining communications and fundraising in October 2023 to revitalize and reimagine the Alliance's development efforts. Less than a year into this combined role and my contributions have helped renew confidence in the Alliance's mission and increase revenue over and above 8 of the previous 9 years. Building relationships, improving internal processes, and acknolwedging areas for growth have led to this success in my brief time in the role.

Since leaving my former position at University Baptist Church, I've created "God Knows Where," a weekly podcast for those exploring their faith off the beaten path. I create and produce all the content within the podcast (except the music) and its social media channels. The community is building a growing community of listeners thanks to its concise structure, succinct messages, and professional aesthetic.

I served as the pastoral and administrative leader to a progressive, community-minded congregation of 200 members. In addition to preaching, counseling, and overseeing the operations of the church, I collaborated with church leaders to re-envision the congregation's mission, vision, and values to align them with the congregation's commitment to welcome and affirm all people. Assuming the position in the wake of the congregation's ouster from local Baptist conventions for its inclusive stance, my leadership and collaboration with other pastors and members helped the church increase its membership to pre-ouster numbers, navigate the Covid pandemic without negative impacts, and set it on solid financial footing without incurring debt.

I am responsible for the overall management and direction of the program on The University of Southern Mississippi's Hattiesburg and Gulf Park campuses. My responsibilities include programming, personnel, and fund development for a membership driven organization of more than 700 members and the only lifelong learning institute in Mississippi funded by the Bernard Osher Foundation, a leader in providing educational opportunities to adults age 50 and above.

As Director, I was responsible for setting and executing the vision of Teach For America's partnership with 23 school districts in northwest Mississippi and mission-aligned community organizations. These responsibilities included ensuring the certification and employment of more than 270 teachers in the region. In addition to managing external partnerships and the hiring process for new teachers, I supervised two staff members whose responsibilities included managing our licensure agreement with the state department of education, onboarding teachers into our program, developing and delivering communications about our program, and grant writing. I also served as a member of our regional leadership.

As a member of both the Growth Strategy and Development Teams at Teach For America-Delta, I developed funding proposals charitable foundations in tandem with another team member, ensured that our organization maintained accurate data across the region, and performed other administrative duties as necessary so that the organization could effectively combat educational inequity in Arkansas and Mississippi.

I served as pastor to a congregation of around 30 members in the heart of the Mississippi Delta, leading the congregation in worship twice per month, providing pastoral care to the community, and working with high school students as well.

I created and edited content focused on community service efforts for a small, regional publication with a monthly circulation of 300-400 issues.

I developed more than 20 proposals for numerous community-based non-profit organizations in northwest Mississippi, southwest Tennessee, and eastern Arkansas.

I served as a member of the Chaplain's religious life team and provided leadership to and coordinated the efforts of the Undergraduate Inter-Religious Council, developed marketing materials for a newly launched on-campus coffeehouse, and served as teaching assistant for a graduate level course on chaplaincy in an inter-religious world.

I oversaw a ministry of more than 200 students in grads 6-12 and their families at a 4,000 member church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I was responsible for all programming including weekly Bible studies, classes, service opportunities, and an outreach ministry to the homeless and underserved in the downtown area.

I created systems for tracking and maintaining donor information and created a mail campaign for the organization that garnered over $17,000 in six months.
