About Brett Hurst

Brett and Kellie Hurst, co-founders of Home Encouragement, married almost thirty years, have served together in ministry since they first dated. They love marriage, are experienced presenters and marriage educators, and are certified in PREPARE/ENRICH, Dynamic Marriage, PICK and other materials. The Hursts have served couples and families in various capacities for MDPC, Second Baptist Church and Sagemont Church (all in Houston) while also working with various parachurch organizations in the city. Brett has served as a board member of the Greater Houston Healthy Marriage Coalition. He has also been a member of AACC (The American Association of Christian Counselors) since 2000, as well as a member of Wedding Pastors USA, a missional outreach to engaged couples. The Hursts are both members of AM/FM (the Association of Marriage & Family Ministries) and have served as part of the Date Night Houston leadership team. In 2007, Brett and Kellie founded Home Encouragement Ministries, Inc. as a result of a shared passion for marriage and family encouragement.
