My Story: When I was little, I wanted to be an astronaut (because space travel is pretty awesome). I read every book about space I could get my hands on... Arthur C. Clarke, Carl Sagan, Douglas Adams, and Isaac Asimov all set my imagination ablaze. Then at the age of twelve, I discovered programming, and I changed my mind... I wanted to do cool stuff with computers. I have been fortunate enough to spend the last 25+ years doing just that. From working for one of the first MDM companies in the dot-com days to getting paid to hack into and protect the largest companies in the world. My greatest challenge so far has been growing a company from scratch: In 2008, I founded a company called BlueFletch and convinced a group of awesome people to join me on this journey. Along the way, we have built some cool software and mobile solutions including high volume transaction payment systems that halved processing costs, retail mobile software used by hundreds of thousands of employees, and educational apps that have helped millions of students.Throughout my journey, I have had the opportunity to wear many hats: resource management, business development, finance, network engineering, OS-level debugging, coaching, making coffee, etc. The hat I wear the most in my current role is the one I am most passionate about the trusted advisor. I get to work alongside clients to solve real-world business problems leveraging modern mobile technology to improve security and experience for end-users. I have my resume ready for when the record store guy or the electric car guys create a viable job market for astronauts. Until then, I will keep enjoying the challenge of solving business problems with computers.
