• Maintain cue track documentation and participate in cue track rotation as directed• Operate the automation control console in a safe and consistent manner for performances, artist training and maintenance operations as directed by the head of Automation, Artistic, Stage, Company, and technical management• Inspect and maintain electronic, hydraulic and motorized equipment and systems; update maintenance and inspection records as directed• Adhere to and promote all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations as they pertain to the safe operation of all elements related to the show; participate in all required health and safety classes and emergency rescue procedure training• Maintain a flexible schedule for work calls, special events, rehearsals, training, maintenance and evening show performances;• Develop a thorough knowledge of all Automation Department equipment specific to the production in order to operate it safely;• Assist other departments as needed to run the performances and rehearsals.• Participate in special projects including the installation of new automated show elements, and inter-departmental projects that include automated elements or other needs that may fall within the technician’s specialty as directed• Control machines and processes, by using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes• Operate vehicles, mechanized devices, or equipment, by running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts and passenger vehicles• Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by the Head of Automation

Worldwide

• Controls lighting equipment such as Follow Spots, Moving Lights, and all forms of conventional lighting instruments that are on the show with-in the guidelines of the best practices during performances.• Assist in directing local crews, loading and unloading, and assembling and disassembling of all show equipment.• Conduct regular maintenance in an effort to preserve the high integrity and professionalism of the company and its equipment. • Supervised all rigging on the unit and coordinated with local riggers to ensure efficient and safe rigging practices.• Adapted the show’s rigging plot to fit in a variety of challenging venues in new markets.• Oversaw the setup and use of several different self climbing ground support rigging systems.• Worked with foreign producers to adapt current show working practices to make them acceptable to the local government’s health and safety requirements while maintaining the existing standard of safety on the unit.• Performed manually controlled performer flys with both Tomcat and Skjonberg fly car systems.I also functioned in various other rolls including head pyrotechnician, head electrician, automation operator, projectionist, props technician, and carpenter
