Coordinator Aggressive Behaviour Management for Healthcare Workers Program Coordination of local District program for Aggressive Behaviour Management for Healthcare Workers (ABMHW)Liaison with coordinators in other districts to benchmark standardisation, and strategic direction of program delivery in line with Corporate Office policy.Provision of Occupational Violence Risk Assessments throughout district including reporting risk control strategies utilising design, engineering, structural and administrative controls, and training needs analyses for staff experiencing Occupational Violence in the workplace Member of Workplace Health and Safety committee, Safe Practice and Environment committee, and Security Fire and Disaster committeeDelivery of training for staff in aggressive behaviour management utilising awareness, avoidance, verbal de-escalation and last resort physical skills.Reporting to District management and state executive on key performance outcomes for the program in the Mackay DistrictOngoing evaluation on delivery of program and update of program theory, including provision of research and literature and communication with program leadership at state level.

Coordination and facilitation of Corporate Office programs filling the role of Acting District Manual Handling Coordinator, coordinating the local program, inclusive of the continued development of area manual handling facilitators within the Mackay Health Service DistrictLiaison with Workplace Health and Safety Manager to assimilate compliance monitoring in line with the Workplace Health and Safety Act 1995 in monitoring manual handling injuries and rehabilitation programs to include remedial training for injured staffIn-servicing QAS officers in correct lifting techniques, specifically to transfer patients within the Emergency Department from trolleys to bed and log rollingFacilitation of back care training program for new employees to MHSD, in both theory and practical competency assessment.Participation in forum to update guidelines for manual handling of people.Provision of training for all streams of staff in Back Care inclusive of Materials Handling and Patient Handling, in group in-service format.District Aggressive Behaviour Management CoordinatorCoordination of local District program for Aggressive Behaviour Management for Healthcare Workers (ABMHW)Liaison with coordinators in other districts to benchmark standardisation of program delivery in line with Corporate Office policy.Provide human resources for instruction for the course from a base of 9 instructors within the districtMember of Workplace Health and safety committee, Safe practice and environment committee, and Security Fire and Disaster committeeFacilitator of verbal de-escalation session 8 hrFacilitator of Conflict resolution program, including dealing with difficult behaviours as part of communication sessionDesign and implementation of "Zero tolerance to violence - an introduction to ABMHW and verbal de-escalation" training session as part of District Orientation Program for new staff
