Provided ongoing support for low-level Linux modifications and kernel module augmentation for proprietary storage platform delivered by 3PAR/Primera product line, including extensive hardware specific hooks and logic requiring platform detection throughout the product code base.* To support the latest hardware enablement, I created and managed a software product gate to enable core functionality needed by external project teams, coordinating several engineer contributions as well as my own, delivering a timely release to downstream partners on schedule.* Regularly triaged customer and internal bugs against a broad spectrum of Linux platform and proprietary functionality, frequently including kernel panics and system lockups. Effectively root caused problems and delivered solutions, often coordinating with external teams to provide results. * Developed a Linux Kernel Crypto Framework (LKCF) driver to leverage an Intel QuickAssist Technology (QAT) hash and compression accelerator.

Transitioned into 3PAR storage and quickly learned the proprietary ASIC hardware controls needed to implement the next generation controller software from the prior technology. Adapting to the pace of the development environment, I learned all four (memory, xcb engine, LPC bus, RPC bus) facets of the driver to provide ongoing support.* Provided initial porting and development of the memory controller for the next generation ASIC driver.* Challenged to improve the error reporting across all control blocks of the ASIC driver so that more than one error could be acknowledged at a time, I redesigned the code to report all errors independently, even if concurrent, and then arranged them hierarchically to better interpret reports and allow for proper verification.* Led a nine-member cross organizational team to successfully enable simultaneous dual link utilization to increase cluster data transfer performance by up to 20%, achieving an on-time functionality delivery with minimal re-plan impact in only five months.* I received a bronze all-star award recognizing my contribution to a months long technical investigation and solution of a serious customer issue involving cluster down panics that resulted in the retention of high-valued customer seats.

* Assisted in the design and implementation of Secure Resource Partitions (a zone-like compartmentalization feature based on HP-UX and Containment), including the registration and callback APIs that drive the SRP lifecycle state flow.

Leveraged my B1 Security knowledge and experience in networking into a job transfer to Cupertino, CA, where I demonstrated my skills at supporting and furthering development in the TCPIP protocol arena, particularly in performance and security add-on features.* I designed and implemented a network access control containment strategy that could be applied between any application and an underlying network interface on a standard HP-UX platform.* I designed and implemented containment based TCP/IP port binding and packet delivery features, which were included in HP-UX 11.31 LR.* I served as mentor and liaison to an India based sustaining team, providing frequent technical feedback to engineers and encouraged leadership opportunities for the fledgling team members.* In support of the networking security features I developed, I produced and presented training materials which were incorporated into the HP-UX network training repository.
