This involved project planning and the implementation of new strategies, client solutions and methodologies. The company’s focus was to gain accounts, which we have never been able… Show more Strategic Business Development responsibilities include:- My role required me to implement changes and manage the branch as well as enter the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery market within Cape Town with existing clients and more importantly to engage with new potential clients for the company. This involved project planning and the implementation of new strategies, client solutions and methodologies. The company’s focus was to gain accounts, which we have never been able to successfully penetrate and expose the business to. My task was to actively target these strategic accounts and focus on gaining short term and long term revenue within these accounts. Three strategic accounts were allocated to me. These accounts were Sanlam, Old Mutual and CSC. I successfully gained new business from two of these accounts within the last 6 months of my employment and closed deals worth more than R8 million. Due to financial cutbacks within the company we were unable to close additional deals requiring Capital Expenditure. Moving to Cape Town for the first time, I commenced working these accounts with no relationships or formal introductions and successfully created ongoing relationships with executives in some of these businesses. My role included ensuring that Strategic Account Plans (SAP’s) for all these clients where completed. These SAP’s were client specific documents reflecting the strategy on the account as well as a detailed course of action over the long and short term.Branch Manager responsibilities include:- Member of the company’s MANCO (Management committee) and EXCO (Executive committee), a prior responsibility to this appointment Managing of the relationship with vendors such as CSC, BCX. Managing the Cape Town sales budget Operation of the client & CRM database, sales and marketing collateral Branch facilitator of the staff social events including organization and running of the staff meetings Show less
