Ever since I was a little kid, I have always been interested in wildlife and the environment as a whole. As a kid in elementary school, I remember sitting at a computer screen researching various endangered species and writing various facts about each species. I was glued to the television watching Steve Irwin on the Animal Planet promoting wildlife conservation. This passion carried me through my education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I studied a variety of challenging courses, including ornithology, ecology, and evolutionary biology. I also had field experience studying the golden-winged warbler, a sharply-declining migratory songbird. In May of 2018, I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Ecology, Conservation, and Environmental Biology with a minor in Geography from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Currently, I am Soil Conservationist for the Natural Resources Conservation Service. One of my primary responsibilities is gathering and assembling resource information for the development of farm conservation plans. My ultimate goal is to become a Natural Resources Specialist or Wildlife Biologist. I want to make a difference in promoting wildlife conservation and conservation of natural resources in general.
