I am currently a pilot flying the Airbus 320 for Frontier Airlines. My previous 121 Airline experience included working one year as a First Officer for SkyWest Airlines flying the CRJ, as well as two years with Vanguard Airlines flying the Boeing 737-200. I also worked for 6 wonderful years as a professor of aviation at the University of Dubuque, teaching everything aviation related. As a corporate pilot I was a Captain for over seven years on the Hawker (HS-125) Business Jet operating throughout Canada, US, and Mexico. I was also a Captain on a Cessna Caravan for five years under part 135 as well as a First Officer on a Fokker 27 for six months under part 121 as part of a Night Freight Operation that was a contractor to FedEx. I also worked three years under part 135 Charter Operations flying Piper Navajos and Senecas. I began my professional pilot career as a Flight Instructor for two years flying mostly Piper single engine aircraft.In 2002, after 9/11, the national airline I was working for declared bankruptcy, and for the next few years I became a Mr. Mom to my two small children as well as a full time college student in order to complete my Bachelor’s degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. I subsequently completed a Master's degree in Business Education from Drake University. I have been involved in many aspects of aviation flying and love being a professional pilot.
