Dedicated professional with a strong background in Customer Experience. In my current role, I see the critical intersection of Gas and Electric Infrastructure projects designed for increased safety and reliability and the impacts these projects have on customers. I have also gained invaluable insights into how sustainable and resilient energy practices can drive economic development and community wildfire safety. My prior position with 3CORE Economic Development Corporation allowed me to foster regional collaboration for collective impact. My focus as a District Program Manager was to connect local governments, education, and private sector businesses to funding opportunities that would drive economic growth and resilience in our region of Northern California. In this position, I completed the 3CORE Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) and convened stakeholders to take the initiative around the economic recovery priorities identified in the CEDS. I identified a notice of funding through the USDA for a Rural Business Development Grant that aligned with a CEDS priority for 3 of our local rural communities, wrote the grant, and it was awarded to fund a feasibility study for business development and infrastructure needs along the Interstate 5 corridor in Glenn and Tehama counties. As a District Representative for the U.S. House of Representatives, I learned firsthand the importance of policy-making and how it can impact businesses and communities. This experience has deepened my commitment to advocating for wildfire risk reduction, small business advocacy, and safe energy delivery that fosters economic growth, innovation, and community resiliency. In this role, I assisted constituents through two major wildfires, the Dixie Fire and North Complex West Zone Fire, routinely working with FEMA and the SBA. The COVID-19 pandemic also began during my time in this role. This unprecedented event impacted every constituent, and I helped facilitate inquiries into several federal agencies on behalf of constituents. My biggest accomplishment in this role was assisting constituents with SBA programs saving jobs and businesses. My tenure at Farmers Insurance gave me insight into the critical role that Insurance plays in protecting individuals and businesses. While in this role, I experienced the largest wildfire in California history, the Camp Fire. I saw firsthand the impacts of catastrophic wildfires on individuals, families, and businesses. It's taught me the significance of risk management and how it can influence economic resilience.
