As Senior Account Manager I manage a portfolio of clients for all their trade and consumer exhibition build and hire requirements throughout Australia. I build on existing and create new relationships with event organisers and act as the main liaison between organisers and all departments within the organisation.

As Head of Event Operations / Senior Account Manager, I was responsible for the recruitment, training and providing leadership to a new team post Covid-19. I developed new and built on existing processes whilst also working closely with event organisers to deliver their ticketing, lead generation and technology solutions for trade, consumer and agricultural events throughout Australia.

As National Events Manager, I was responsible for all operational aspects of Australia’s largest travel group’s annual retail focused travel exhibitions, held throughout the country. These expos provide an opportunity for our contracted travel partners to connect with customers and showcase their products and exclusive deals. It also allows our consultants from the various retail brands under the group’s umbrella to increase their sales while connecting with existing and developing relationships with new customers.

As Event Manager I was responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering the calendar of events, including tourism based festivals, community events, fundraising events, conferences and corporate launches.

As Senior Events Officer, I was responsible for all aspects of planning, coordinating and delivering a number of events on Council’s calendar of events including a national music festival and numerous cultural and community festivals and events. I assisted the Manager of Events, manage the business operations of the Events Department including providing leadership and supervision to the team of 24 event staff and numerous volunteers.

As Event Coordinators for, at the time, Brisbane’s newest 5 Star Hotel, I was responsible for the coordination of corporate and social events ranging from 2 to 1000 guests. These events included conferences, wedding receptions, meetings as well as organising all in-house functions and special promotional events. It was my responsibility to act as the liaison between the client and all departments within the hotel to ensure client’s budgets, objectives and expectations were met.

In the role of Banquet Supervisor, I was responsible for the execution and supervision of all banquet operations including wedding and corporate receptions, product launches, meetings and conferences. I was responsible for the selection, training, supervision and rostering of all banquet staff and maintained all staff costs according to budgets set. Within this position I had to liaise with all departments to ensure the client objectives and expectations were met.
