The internet is amazing. There’s never been better access to information or more ways in which we can connect with each other. But as great as it is, there are still parts of it which are unloved, annoying and frustrating.After moving to Thailand without much of a plan I found the internet invaluable for navigating a foreign land I knew little about. But the more I browsed the more annoyed I became; websites with poor navigation, out-of-date content, and obnoxious pop-ups. After showing up to places that no longer existed or finding no information about something at all I decided to create a blog that would help other expats in my situation. By trying to create the best resource for things to do in Bangkok I became skilled at web design, development and marketing - it even landed me a job.I realised that good website design and honest marketing can be simple but incredibly effective. From then on I made it my mission to make the web a better place.A decade later, I've kept to this 'websites made simple' philosophy and built sites for a variety of clients and agency partners.Simple websites aren't just about creating a clean, user-friendly design. I advocate for websites which empower clients to understand how their website works and give them the ability to update their own content, all while providing the support they need to be confident doing so.Since it was released in 2013, I've used the Divi WordPress theme to create hundreds of websites for clients and creative agencies. From artists to coaches, doctors to biotech companies, grass-roots nonprofits to globally-recognised charities, and from simple one-page websites to membership and e-commerce. The clients I’ve worked with all have one thing in common: they want to make the world a better place.In 2016 my passion for creating a better web drew me to The Good Alliance, a brand design agency helping socially motivated entrepreneurs inspire, engage and impact more people. Over the years I've played an integral role as a project manager, developer, and website manager. In my 7 years with the alliance, I have been involved with all aspects of the organisation, from marketing, sales, design, copywriting, and more.These days I work with a small selection of agency partners including The Good Alliance, AlchemyThree and Curgoal Digital Marketing, plus working directly with clients through Worth it Media.
