Reduce our significant overstocks while ensuring we have the right inventory in place to support the summer key selling season.• Negotiating with factories for POs and planned production to be cancelled/delayed to improve forward inventory projections and working capital as well as better manage warehousing constraints.• Run a tender to identify suitable domestic freight carriers with the right capabilities to handle our bulky freight and deliver a high level of service for our customers while keeping costs within budget expectations.• Develop a 3PL storage solution and procure providers that give Sheppard Cycles the flexibility to manage a significant volume of inventory overstocks to avoid warehouse constraints that negatively impact stock availability and customer service levels.

Responsibilities:• Leading a team of 5 to plan and manage the deployment of AUD$100M worth of finished goods inventory across a network of 15 DC’s, 3 Breweries including a significant volume of imported product.• Day-to-day reviewing of customer demand vs stock holding to identify potential stock outs and expediting stock where necessary to minimise customer impact• Ensuring stock out risks are escalated to the wider business where appropriate so that the sales team can manage customer expectations• Optimising Intra-company transfers to minimise transport costs while still maintaining supply to the customer.• Managing the age profile of inventory, and together with Sales working out plans to move stock that has been identified as a SLOB risk.• Single Point of Contact for Sales, Marketing, Product Development for support around supply to Festivals & Events, Route To Market and product release strategy for all NPD projects. Managing transition timing for On-Pack Promotional SKUs/x;, planning inventory run-down for deleted SKUs, etc.Achievements:• Delivering an IFOT of 98.5% in FY2016/17, which is the best result in over 10 years. The H1 2018 result is also well ahead of our stretch target.• Driving better long-term planning allowing us to send more freight by sea than rail, delivering a H1 2018 modal mix result of 83% (Stretch Target = 81.5%) to deliver savings of over AUD$500K.• Attaining Senior Management backing to restructure the Inventory team to bring together the Replenishment Planning and Inventory Management functions driving synergies and providing end-to-end responsibility for Finished Goods setting the team up for success.• Design, build and implement an Inventory Visibility tool now in use by over 30 users across the business in Supply, Logistics, Call Centre and more.

Freight Tender conducted in 2012• ERP and WMS system SME• KPI reporting and management of performance gaps• Manage reverse logistics supply chain for faulty products back to the factory in Mexico.Achievements:• Develop and implement an Inventory Model to calculate statistical safety stock, determine inventory targets highlighting excess/insufficient stock and reducing SLOB stock by over 50%.• Introduce a fully audited Cycle Count process achieving 99.96% accuracy and saving up to $1M in lost sales from warehouse closures.• Implement EDI ordering with major customers reducing order turn-around time from +/- one week to just one day and improving supply chain visibility, collaboration and inventory planning.• Implement fully tracked end-to-end reverse logistics database and corresponding process flow allowing automation of faulty product returns and fully transparent RMA request management allowing us to reduce our RMA stock on hand by over AUD$200K.

Responsibilities:• Developing and maintaining a demand forecast up to 24 months and forecasting stock requirements and raising purchase orders as appropriate.• Coordinating shipping via air and ocean (LCL and FCL) and expediting where necessary while working to minimise freight costs where possible.• Reviewing back-orders and taking proactive steps to reduce stock-outs while maintaining an optimal level of inventory.• Regular negotiation with freight forwarders to minimise transport costs and managing transit times and delivery on time performance.Achievements:• Reduction of Stock Holding by 25% through optimised safety stock levels, and improved forecast accuracy reducing working capital by $1.2M.• Negotiation with forwarder to ship stock from a French Supplier via Spain to reduce inland transport costs, saving over AUD$50K p.a.• Negotiation with supplier in Korea to expedite AUD$1.5M worth of stock in 4 weeks (normally 12) to address an unforecasted increase in demand saving AUD$4.5M worth of potential lost revenue.• Leveraging my strong relationship with supplier in Korea to increase payment terms from 30 to 90 days helping to improve cash flow

Negotiation with overseas vendors, customers, freight carriers as well as the internal sales and marketing departments.• Sales, Customer Service, Shipping and Marketing of a range of products designed in-house but manufactured and warehoused in Hong Kong under our own brand.
