Responsibilities include managing a caseload of 30-40 services, working with children (newborn to 21 years old) who are in foster care, kinship care, or residential treatment facilities. This position entails consistent and frequent communication and contact with county agencies, the Philadelphia Department of Human Services, families, providers, and other team members. Permanency services conducted within this position include writing child profiles, writing family profiles, recruiting for children in care, matching families with children, finalizing adoptions and permanent legal custodianships, and working with children to prepare them for their permanency goal (e.g., adoption, permanent legal custodianship, independent living). This position requires the implementation of home visits, state/agency safety checks, court appearances, mandated reporting, file/documentation compliance, and the ability to organize, time manage, and work both independently and cohesively.

Through their summer program, I was able to contribute by helping the students with communication, socialization, and independence.
