I leveraged strategic communications to craft targeted messaging for diverse audiences. This included developing press releases and videos explaining government initiatives to policymakers and the public alike. I spearheaded digital storytelling efforts, leading the creation of engaging videos for a government digital transformation project. Additionally, I excelled in event management, successfully organizing conferences and roundtables.In the realm of customer experience (CX), I championed smooth onboarding by creating clear documents like welcome books to help new employees seamlessly integrate into the organization. I also focused on easy information access, improving the organization of internal and public websites. Furthermore, I empowered employees by developing resources that enhanced policy analysts' communication skills with stakeholders.My public policy expertise contributed to efficient policy development by streamlining the process for submitting proposals. I championed transparency, contributing to the creation of a guide for handling government audits with openness and accountability. My commitment to cybersecurity also played a role in crafting a plan to address cyberattacks and safeguard the public.

Collaborated to devise communications objectives and content for the Administration for Children and Families (ACF). I worked with three primary portfolios (LIHEAP, LIHWAP and RCD) and assisted with the remaining three portfolios (CSBG, SSBG and CED) to close out and prepare for Fiscal Years 2021, 2022, and 2023. Weekly, I drafted, reviewed, and edited documents for internal and external entities in order to create outreach opportunities for the grants which assisted states, territories, and tribes distribute supplementary funds for individuals with low income to achieve self sufficiency.

Increased community awareness of the Northeast Boundary Tunnel (NEBT) project within Area B; four NE, DC Communities. The Clean Rivers Project was mandated by a 2005 consent decree with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, DC Government, and DC Water. It is building underground tunnels to store overflow stormwater and sewage during rainstorms until it can be sent to a treatment plant to expand and improve sewage and waste issues within Washington, DC. This role focused greatly on creating and sustaining community partnerships to avoid temporary city-mandated shutdowns by 1) communicating the client's objectives in plain text to the affected communities and 2) communicating the community needs to the client in order for them to address them. As this was a construction project, I created written and visual content to update the community on each new daily task that would potentially cause disruption or alter the completion timeline. Also, I conducted site visits, attended community forums, and in-person or virtual visits with community members to communicate the client's intentions or address concerns.

AFSCME is the largest public sector union meant to expand the working rights and pay of members. While acting in this role I conducted organizing for membership and campaigns. My work focused on internal and external outreach, which included door-knocking to gain members or site visits to ignite current member participation. I developed/maintained relationships with elected officials and staff, affiliates, potential members, and coalition partners in order to pursue the organization's agenda for the Maryland General Assembly legislative session. Also, coordinated and executed the political agenda by researching, analyzing data, creating fact sheets, drafting testimonials, and tracking bills that affected our ability to expand contracts in non-unionized territories in the DMV area. I developed communication strategies, messaging, and tactics for campaigns to improve outreach; such as leaflets, brochures, e-Newsletters, direct mail, video, and other materials. Also, I increased exposure to digital media campaigns by utilizing marketing tools such as Hustle, Mobile Commons, VAN, Mail Chimp, and other client management software.

I worked with Senator Barbara Robinson in the 40th District for five years to create policy for the State of Maryland and improve/expand opportunities in Baltimore City, specifically. Together we strategized the upcoming Fiscal Year by analyzing data from policy objectives polled in the community to determine the success rate. I managed a team of five teaching them how to communicate with constituents and the operations of our office. Monthly, we engaged with 65,000 constituents via. virtual and in-person communication. Weekly, I liaised with over 160 Community Organizations weekly and developed community-based initiatives to determine content for each upcoming session. Also, I developed longstanding relationships with elected officials and staff, affiliates, and coalition partners to build legislative policies. I assisted community associations and development corporations in grant writing and processed proposals. Also, I created content such as speeches, responses to public engagements, and media relations inquiries. Directing lobbying and digital campaigns was a big part of my job. I used systems such as Mail Chimp, VAN, Eventbrite, and Outlook to support. I created promotional tools; i.e. flyers, polls, invitations, videos, and t-shirts, to assist with brand management. Also, I expanded opportunities for community interaction by implementing virtual meetings and in-person community forums.
