I am an architect (ARB / RIBA) with strong Revit capability interested and experienced in all stages of the construction process from the initial concept diagram that can unlock the potential of a site, to the technical detailing required to make that sketch a reality. I enjoy the challenge of refurbishing and redeveloping existing buildings and a number of my current and recent projects have taken this approach. Currently my focus is on commercial design, predominantly within the office, hospitality and mixed-use sectors.Born and raised in Australia, I studied architecture at the University of Western Australia. This was a forerunner to my international endeavours in architectural education and professional experience having undertaken work experience in Basel, Switzerland and obtaining a secondary Master of Architecture degree in Urban Design at The Bartlett School of Architecture (University College London). These were followed by over 8 years in professional practice in London, United Kingdom (U.K.) where I obtained the title of architect as a member of the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).Recent research is concerned with the anthropogenic relationship between urban design, sustainability and the geological significance of a territory. My independent research paper entitled, “Urban Imaginaries; Centres for Resource Extraction” was successful in winning the 2014 Open Agenda; Research Architecture Competition. The proposal saw me travel to Kiruna in Lapland Sweden where I worked alongside members of the Kiruna Municipality, Town Planners, Urban Designers and Politicians to evaluate the construct of “Territory” in the urban transformation and relocation of the town to make way for the expansion of the Kiirunavaara Iron Ore Mine. I am currently based in Perth, Western Australia.
