I have a strong passion for Finance. The dynamic nature of financial markets, the opportunity to make strategic investment decisions, and the opportunity to analyze economic trends all fuel my enthusiasm for this field.As a finance major, I have gained valuable knowledge and experience managing a portfolio and trading stocks. In one of my classes, we were tasked with managing a portfolio on StockTrak, which provides real-life portfolio stimulation. The goal was to invest in companies across all 11 sectors and generate a positive total return. This project allowed me to develop hands-on experience in trading stocks and making informed investment decisions. I would often wake up early before the stock market opens to research companies, stay updated on any news that may affect a company's price, and listen to the company's earnings call.Through dedicated coursework, I have acquired high proficiency in Microsoft Excel. This has equipped me with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively utilize Excel for data analysis and financial tasks, as outlined in the job description. Completing the Bloomberg certificate program has enhanced my ability to navigate and extract financial information. Additionally, a specific course project required me to utilize Excel to create various financial statements and budgets, including those for sales, production, direct materials, and labor, as well as selling and administrative expenses.
