Assist in Environmental inspections and produce appropriate documentation that is mandated by the EPA/AHERA/NESHAP's and OSHA, in residential buildings to identify asbestos containing materials and hazardous materials. Majority of inspections to date are to help facilitate funded demolitions to help combat blight in Flint, MI and Genesee County. Assist in Site Characterization Related to a Release From an Underground Storage Tank: On-going semi-annual groundwater monitoring with additional collection of groundwater for delineation and comparison to applicable criteria. Further indoor sub-slab soil vapor sampling to determine biodegradation of gasoline constituents in sub-slab soil and to asses the risk for fire and explosive potential by determining levels of methane produced through anaerobic digestion of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) via biodegradation. Subsequent reporting to regulatory agencies as required by Part 213 of the NREPA, PA 451, 1994. Assist in Brownfield Redevelopment Site Water Treatment System: assist in operating and maintaining a water treatment system that involves the dewatering and treatment of contaminated groundwater through sediment filtration and activated carbon filtration.Assist in Site Characterization Related To A Release From An Underground Storage Tank: On-going semi-annual groundwater monitoring with the additional collection of soil and groundwater samples for delineation and comparison to applicable criteria. Subsequent reporting to regulatory agencies as required by Part 213 of the NREPA, PA 451, 1994.Assist in Operation, Maintenance, Reporting for Superfund Site Purge & Treat System:Sampling of monitoring wells using low flow purging methods to assist characterizing a release of chlorinated solvents Trichloroethylene (TCE) and perchloroethylene (PCE). Assist in operation and maintenance of a purge and treat remediation system utilizing granular activated carbon.

GIS Utilization - Flint Water Connection Database Entry For Identification of Lead Pipes: Using digitized maps of Flint, MI, zoned land parcels within the city were edited to be given a point represented by a letter indicating the type of water connection pipe that belongs to that parcel; the overall objective was to record what type of connection line was used. After all the points were identified based on their pipe connection type they were compiled into a database; this data was used to create various maps to identify known hots spots and interpolate for areas of interest for parcels that were assumed to have lead connections.
