I have been an active performer all throughout the east coast since 2005, doubling on all saxophones, clarinets, flute/piccolo, oboe, English horn, and ethnic woodwind flutes. I've performed with John Legend, The Who, Idina Menzel, Josh Groban, Sarah Brightman, Lindsey Stirling, and many more. In 2003, I founded a private woodwind studio, and have consistently taught between 40-70 private lessons per week to ages 8-adult. In 2014 I took over as Private Lesson Coordinator at Germantown Friends School and grew the program from 70 students to 196 in the first year. I have over 12 years experience teaching a variety of ages, ensembles, styles, theory and music history in urban and suburban settings. In 2018, I pursued a full-time role as an Education Program Coordinator at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, helping to bring arts education to Title 1 students in Philadelphia. This also allowed me to develop skills in curriculum development, residency outreach and artist liaison work. Most recently, after initially being appointed at Director of Programming and Productions at the Brooklyn Music School in NYC, I was asked to step up as the Interim Executive Director and becamepermanently set in the role November 2021-present. I have great passion and desire to advance the BMS mission in providing quality, accessible performing arts programming to all those who wish to receive it, regardless of economic or financial circumstances.
