I have worked for nearly 30 years building bridges of respect and understanding in 40+ countries across Africa, Europe, North America and the Asia–Pacific. My specialisation is using cross-cultural and interfaith mediation, conflict management and dialogue facilitation to address some of the great challenges facing the world today. In the past decade, I established and directed the Centre for Interfaith & Cultural Dialogue at Griffith University; co-founded the G20 Interfaith Forum, an annual public dialogue platform to draw on interfaith insight and experience in developing recommendations on issues relevant to the G20 Leaders Summit; and launched the Commonwealth Dialogue Initiative to strengthen leadership for sustainable peace and development in the Commonwealth of Nations. I feel one of my greatest achievements is creating the CURe Program for Multicultural Competence. This program fosters respect-the foundation on which collaboration and innovation is built. It helps create the mindset, develop the skills and establish an environment for people to value the traditions and perspectives of others and to contribute their own. The CURe Program has been delivered to hundreds of participants in government , civil society, universities, and commercial organisations and is available to any organisation interested in deep inclusion, productive collaboration, and connecting with diverse staff or clients. After three decades working in universities, the time is right to take my skillset directly to government and corporate settings to strengthen their leadership in building a world of respect—where our diverse traditions, perspectives and worldviews can be valued contributions to solving our greatest challenges. If your organisation or community is interested in impactful programs, strategic planning support, or a thought-provoking keynote address, contact me: bjonadams@gmail.com or +1 (269) 779-1976.

Director, Centre For Interfaith & Cultural DialogueGriffith University Jul 2011 - Dec 2020Brisbane, Queensland, AuIn 2002, generous donations from individuals and faith communities made possible the fulfillment of a vision: to build a Multi-Faith Centre where people from diverse faith, religious and spirituality traditions can deepen their understanding of their own faith and actively participate in interfaith dialogue, education and action. Then, in 2014, we became the Centre for Interfaith & Cultural Dialogue with broader ambitions to build a world where all religious and cultural traditions are threads in a social fabric woven with respect and understanding. We are guided by the values of compassion, inclusion, respect, collaboration and leadership. We join with the efforts of many organisations and millions of people worldwide committed to building a world based on principles of peace, compassion, active non-violence, justice, human rights, intercultural respect, sustainability and spirituality. -
