Oversee and manage complex, cross-functional execution of key strategic projects and see them through to completion with internal and external stakeholders.

I was responsible for validation testing, production audit testing, and Metrology laboratory activities per ISO17025 accreditation requirements.Job duties include the following: Provide supervision to all aspects of the Quality department at various facilities consisting of 11Quality Engineers, and 14 Quality Technicians. Responsible for maintaining Wells TS16949 Automotive accreditation and the upgrade to IATF 16949, ISO14001 Environmental Health and Safety accreditation and Ford Q1 systems. Responsible for both domestic and international supply base activities by implementing, monitoring, and responding to KPI quality conformances for all products.  Communicated directly to OEM companies such as Ford, GM, Daimler, Cummins, Borg Warner, Modine and Harley Davidson on PPAP / APQP requirements per AIAG guidelines, validation testing results, program management, part analysis and reporting, IMDS submissions and corrective actions. Update PFMEA’s and control plans as required from process changes. Responsible for all synergy activities because of the Niterra acquisition of Wells as they relate to quality and or testing of Wells products. Implementation and maintaining 5S and Lean initiatives in our manufacturing facilities to improve by 15% to 25% year over year. Reported all projects to the executive staff to show business savings and productivity improvements. Travel twice a year to China to visit the supply base to report performance metric’s and establishes new KPI’s for the next evaluation period. I also conduct and or oversee potential new supplier assessments during these trips. Implemented ISO17025 accreditation for Wells validation and testing labs. I was the Quality, Technical and Laboratory Manager for this accreditation. My laboratory was also responsible for warranty analysis and disposition reporting during the customer claim process.

Retired after 22 years of service in the Michigan National Guard. I’ve been deployed in a time of war to Iraq and Africa. I’ve also been recognized on numerous occasions for outstanding leadership and instructor skills. Served in Operation Nobel Eagle, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Recipient of the Meritorious Service Metal, Army Commendation Metal, and several Army Achievement metals. Member of Governors Twenty on Land Navigation and Marksmanship. Completed several Officer and Non-Commissioned Officer leadership courses. Land navigation instructor and GPS company navigator in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Basic training orientation instructor.

Provide continuous improvement techniques and methods for a highly credited electronic assembly plant to ensure quality products and processes. I coordinated the return authorizations process and developed new quality control process monitoring programs to improve yields and minimize customer returns through the non-conforming material and corrective action processes. I was assigned the Quality Manager duties from March to October of 2008.

I provided on-site technical support and repairs on electrical components for the Sequoia Ultra Sound Machine circuit boards. Designed, conducted, and analyzed equipment tests and compared field results to laboratory and prototype test results.Job duties included the following: Technician responsible for repairing printed circuit boards in the Sequoia Ultra Sound Machine. Design and implement system enhancements to install on new equipment and programs on the fabrication line. Tested voltage, resistance, and phase angles in circuits, using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and phase rotation indicators. Prepared and maintained all equipment used in safety and compliance testing. Passed all equipment tests successfully. Constructed instrument panels according to specifications and technical manuals. Manually drafted specification drawings to update electrical component records. Performed preventive maintenance on all functional stations and other equipment. Interface with process and equipment engineers to evaluate system changes. Tracking data entry failures that affect productivity, thereby improving yields.
