About Brian Alarie

My name is Brian Alarie and I have a broad amount of skills I can hopefully offer to your company. I started out working in the construction field at a young age. Attended a vocational high school studying HVAC/R, and graduated with a degree in it. During high school I began working at my local mountain as a park ranger, from there is really where everything started to take off. Few years down the road, moved to NH and started working at Loon Mountain. Was taught how to weld and spent a little bit of time in snow cats learning how they operate and the hydraulics systems. I later worked for an excavation company doing rigging and running skid steers and other various equipment. I have over 8 years on-site construction experience. During the summer i worked for NH Fish& Game on their stocking program and salmon population study. I'm an avid outdoors man and have no problem working in inclement weather; more than likely I have worked threw it all on those mountains. Quick learner, and dedicated to getting any and all jobs up to or beyond the standard of the company.

Day to day operations of the mountain specifically the Terrain Parks Department. I supervised the day crew teaching them how to work to our standard, and showing them how to use unfamiliar tools. Paper work daily was done to ensure that the parks were opened properly in a timely manner and were safe for the public to ride. I would spend days in the shop welding rails and boxes together and doing finished metal work on these features for riding in the parks. The development of our Parks was done with my manager and discussing how and where we should put features by looking at maps and discussing the ideas physically on the trails that we would be assigned to build on. Using snowcats to move rails and snow around was also completed. Dealing with customers in a professional manner teaching them the proper and safe ways of being in a terrain park was a daily task as well. Setting up branding and building for events was done as needed making sure that the proper sponsorships were being advertised as the company wanted. Helping anywhere and everywhere on the mountain is something I did frequently and enjoyed as it was nice to do new jobs and create this sense of trust and teamwork with other departments, knowing that they could call me for help anytime anywhere and vise versa.

New Hampshire Fish And Game Apr 2018 - Nov 2018
    Warren Nh
This was a seasonal summer program for the NH Fish and Game department that took place at the Warren Hatchery. The job consisted of maintaining the grounds of the hatchery and fixing the buildings when needed. Taking care of the fish inside and outside of the hatchery by regulating the amount of feed that is given daily and cleaning out the tanks they were being held in was also a daily job. We would test and treat the water for diseases so we would not loose fish to said diseases. Daily mortalities were counted and recorded. We also took care of stocking the rivers and lakes for sport fishing. We would sain and weigh the fish to know how many per pound of fish we have, record that data, then load the fish into the stocking trucks to distribute threw out our region.

Every morning we would arrive at the job site and i would make sure the machines were fueled up and ready to go by checking the oil, greasing the pivot points and letting them idle to listen for unusual noises. I would be down in the hole or "pit" as we call it, using a laser level to check grade constantly to make sure that we were on grade with the the plans that were laid out. Bringing in piping for water mains, septic, perimeter drains, and electrical and putting them together down in the pit with rock bars was a huge part of the operation. We would clear out land for the development of houses, so logging was done as necessary. I would also help with removing house forms and breaking off tabs so the drains and tar could be added to the footers of the foundations. The transportation of the machines was also part of the job using safe driving practices on the road. I would also move material around the sites using skid steers and excavators. Building roads and rock walls was one of the many other jobs as well, sometimes sitting on a road roller for hours straight.
