As a consulting reservoir engineer, I work with reservoir engineers to develop techniquesto facilitate analysis of wellfield data. I also develop software tools to streamline theirwork processes.

I provide reservoir engineering and software development support for Serafim Ltd. Myrecent responsibilities have focused on developing, testing, and supporting SerafimFUTURE, a software system for integrated asset modeling, decline analysis, and reservesmanagement.

As a consulting geothermal engineer, I completed projects requiring expertise in various aspects of reservoir engineering. These projects included full-field numerical reservoir simulation, well test analysis, wellbore flow analysis and simulation, resource assessment, and field optimization.

I was responsible for all reservoir engineering activities for CalEnergy Operating Company. The work focused on the Salton Sea geothermal field in southern California, a large, high-temperature field characterized by the presence of hyper-saline brines. At the time, CalEnergy produced about 327 MW from 10 separate power plants at Salton Sea, with a large expansion being planned.

As a consulting engineer for the oil and gas industry, I was involved in field and well decline analysis, resource data management, and resource assessment, for various fields worldwide. I was also a lead programmer for Serafim FUTURE, a software system for integrated asset modeling, decline analysis, and reserves management.

I started my geothermal career as an engineer trainee with Unocal, and advanced up the reservoir engineering career path. The work focused on two geothermal fields operated by Unocal in the Philippines, Tiwi and MakBan (~700 MWe total installed capacity). In addition to reservoir engineering, I developed a working knowledge of the other operational disciplines (including drilling, geosciences, and facilities engineering) through an inter-disciplinary training program as well as through participation in multidisciplinary teams.
