I was a quality assurance inspector here where I had a wide range of responsibilities which include: writing CMM programs, performing first piece/in-process/ final inspections, managing calibrations, maintaining ISO standards, creating in-process inspection sheets and providing thecustomer with documentation on first articles (FAI reports/ballooned drawings) and various other certifications. I communicated with the customer/outside service representative via e-mail/telephoneto discuss matters such as revision changes, non-conformances and required inspection criteria. I worked daily with Microsoft excel and word. I was responsible for coordinating the manner in which inspection requirements are processed for each new job by communicating closely with the customerand shop foreman. I used a large variety of measuring equipment such as CMMs (manual and automated), height stands, calipers, micrometers (inside, outside, and depth), air gages and various other gages. I attended a week long class for CMM programing using PC-DMIS (July 2014) and received a certification as a level 1 programmer. I have a good knowledge of GD&T and understandhow to properly interpret drawings. I worked with CAD regularly and communicated with the CNC programmers to gain an understanding of how parts are processed and where problems are most likely to occur. I use this information to create an effective in-process inspection and determine whatgaging I should provide the machine operator with to minimize non-conforming dimensions.
