July 2006 - February 2007Marysville Weld Quality - Helped in planning new Flexible Measurement System utilizing a robot to measure key areas of the welded body - Developed a Catia simulation to determine the Caster & Camber angles based purely on weld body data if all other parts were nominal - Helped implement a static measurement system on specific areas of parts which would later be applied to the final body.April 2007 - November 2007East Liberty Vehicle Quality - Assisted in developing inspections using the LET (Line End Testers) for electrical, engine and exhaust inspections. - Laid groundwork for SQL reporting system in order to increase capabilities and locate weak areas in LET function - Repaired LETs which were based upon Windows XP handheld systems.December 2007 - June 2008Engineering Group of America - Division 2 Electrical Design - Designed a replacement for obsolete Omron C200PC PLC being utilized by East Liberty Assembly. Replacement was a small form factor PC running DOS utilizing C program to communicate with Omron CS1 PLC over serial and a line master over a frequency hoping proprietary wireless protocol. - Additionally, developed HMI (Human Machine Interface) for Honda Manufacturing of Indiana's glass installation machine.

Helped to create a MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) manipulation device residing inside a SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope). Project is known now as NxSEM and is one of the only MEMS manipulation devices that can not only capture video but also sound. The entire project is programmed using a version of National Instruments Labview.

During my Co-op at Honda, I worked in Organizational Development helping to train maintenance employees on electrical and controls items. During my co-op, I became very proficient with Allen Bradley, Omron and Mitsubishi PLCs. I also worked to develop modular trainers which could be utilized with many different manufactures PLCs reducing the need to have specific trainers for each brand. Finally, I converted Allen Bradley code from 9 PLCs on a conveyor belt system to 1 Omron PLC and laid ground work for Mitsubishi PLCs to be accomplished the same way.

I've built, upgraded, fixed and maintained PCs, laptops, and servers for clients. I've worked on LANs and VPNs. I have extensive knowledge of Windows 95, 98, 2000, ME, XP, Vista, and Server 2000/2003. I have beginning skills with Linux including CentOS.
