Brian maintains a uniquely blended practice in the areas of complex commercial and employment litigation. Brian has extensive experience representing clients in a wide range of business disputes, including cases involving claims for breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, misappropriation of trade secrets, fraud, tortious interference, and other business torts. Brian’s commercial-litigation experience involves diverse subject matters, including securities, insurance brokerage, physicianagreements, healthcare-related disputes, commercial construction, commercial landlord/tenant disputes, software agreements and related technology, and industrial manufacturing.Roughly half of Brian’s practice includes employment defense, where he has handled actions involving non-compete and unfair competition disputes, discrimination and retaliation claims, whistleblowing matters, class and collective action wage-and-hour claims, and unfair-labor practice charges. Brian has enjoyed success at various stages of litigation—motions to dismiss,motions for summary judgment, appellate arguments, and first- and second-chair trials.
