Senior Geologist/Project ManagerHager Geoscience, Inc. Sep 2003 - Aug 2006Responsible for all geologic field aspects related to the Narragansett Bay Commission's (NBC) Providence Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Project; This included geologic bedrock tunnel mapping and collection of bedrock samples from the underground tunnels and associated underground Pump Cavern. Approximately 3 miles of tunnel mapping was performed 250 feet below the ground surface. Maps were submitted to the design team on a daily basis.Performed around-the-clock seismic vibration monitoring at the ground surface and at times below the ground surface for the 24 hour drilling and blasting program for the CSO. This drilling and blasting program featured over 1,200 blasts over a 2.5-year period. Hydrophone seismic surveys were also performed in waterways when blasting occurred below the bodies of water. Submitted daily vibration monitoring reports and provided analysis of over 2,000 bedrock samples obtained from the tunnel. Often met directly with the private homeowners, public and private businesses that were impacted by the project running beneath their properties or businesses.
