I have been working with Claxton Engineering as a business development manager since August 2022, I have been charged with building a portfolio of clients in The Netherlands and expanding Claxtons interests in this area. Since joining, I have build strong relationships with most clients in the Netherlands and increased turnover and revenues from all products and services during this period. I have also assisted in bringing in upto date rates across the company for all products and services offered and helped to roll this out across the company.I was with Paradigm Drilling Services in Aberdeen before this as the Int Sales Manager based out of Aberdeen for the best part of three years. During that time we re-engineered the entire product portfolio to meet the drilling challenges in todays and tomorrows drilling market as well as engineering manufacturing cost out of it. All of this has led to products that perform significantly better than the predecessors and cost significantly less to manufacture and service, maximising profits along the way.During that time the company was also taken from almost obscurity, re-marketed, re-branded and re-presented to the industry. Sales teams were built and added to across the globe and revenues increased along with profitability.Prior to this I was a Senior Operations and sales Manager for Smith Bits (Schlumberger) rotating out of Erbil in Iraq. I had been in the position for almost 3 years, having moved from a similar position with the same company in Hassi Messaoud in Algeria where I worked for ten years. I was released on the 10th February 2016 due to the downturn in rig activity. Previously I was a Technical sales engineer in drill bits with Smith and DBS in Aberdeen, prior to that I worked in a technical sales role for Downhole Products working with centralisers, T&D reduction and cementing as well as aided in the design of the reamer shoes. I have worked in casing and liner centralisation as well as torque and drag reduction and learnt along the way a little about cementing as well. I have over 17yrs experience with drilling and in particular drill bits and have provided superior technical service and solutions with most international operators. I have a thirst to learn more and I am open to new challenges that will stimulate me and drive me.Specialties: I have an ability for solving problems and issues as well as providing ideas and solutions to prevent them from happening. i have an aptitude to learn and progress quickly.
