Head, Vulnerability Assessment Branch
Current•Planning and directing the work of the Vulnerability Assessment Branch in regards to business and organizational practices and processes.•Providing guidance to the Division head as a technical consultant and advisor in the areas of research, development, test, and evaluation (RDT&E).•Performing long-range planning for technical programs to set priorities and organize resources.•Directing research programs to improve the ability to predict the vulnerability of ships and submarines to weapon attacks.•Collaborating with other branch heads to develop solutions to problems involving weapon effects on ships and submarines.•Interface with internal and external customers on behalf of the Command to network and foster relationships.•Interact with NAVSEA Technical Warrant Holders in the weapon effects area to solve technical problems.•Ensure that new employees are being mentored properly to establish their knowledge of weapon effects.•Oversee branch funding to ensure adherence to budgets and that all expenditures are appropriate and balanced.•Interact with sponsors and branch members to ensure that the modeling of ships is appropriate to meet program objectives.•Monitor technical plans and progress of vulnerability assessments conducted by branch members.•Direct research programs to improve the ability to predict the vulnerability of ships and submarines to weapon attacks.
