Developed and tracked Regional and Site budgets for CAPEX and OPEX. Tracked headcount regionally for US LASW. Served as BW Records Coordinator for LASW. Collaborated with disease groups to support priority research projects by conducting studies with investigators and independently. Performed tissue collection, dose administration and sample collection via all common routes in all common laboratory species. Collaborated with LASW veterinary services and DMPK to develop and perfect an in-house non-human primate pharmacokinetic model utilizing primate restraint chairs to satisfy a company need to run primate studies in-house. Supervised and trained a team of technicians providing technical support and routine husbandry for mice, rats, guinea pigs, rabbits, dogs, and primates. Reviewed data to ensure compliance with company SOPs, GLPs, protocols, policies, the AWA, the Guide, and state and local regulations, policies and guidelines. Responded to inspections performed by the USDA, FDA, AAALAC, IACUC, and EHS. Acted as a liaison between animal care technicians, veterinary technicians, veterinarians, senior management, investigators, and other company departments. Served as US site representative to department’s global information services (IS) taskforce which develops, validates, and troubleshoots computerized animal use and data collection systems. Assisted in the computer validation effort for the new animal facility and Edstrom Watchdog System.

Supervised and trained a team of technicians conducting GLP toxicology and pharmacology studies in a CRO environment. Reviewed study data to ensure compliance with GLPs, SOPs, protocols, company policies, the AWA, the Guide, PHS Policy and state and local regulations, policies and guidelines. Ensured compliance with regulatory agencies including the FDA, USDA, and AAALAC. Planned, scheduled, and implemented study procedures based on GLP and protocol requirements while maintaining cost effective and efficient operations. Acted as a liaison between study directors, technicians, interdepartmental teams and external contacts. Served as a member of the IACUC. Performed all aspects of technical study support on GLP toxicology and pharmacology studies in dogs, primates, cats and swine including urine and blood collection, ECGs, and dosing via all common routes of administration.

Administered test articles to primates, dogs, and pigs via various routes: oral gavage, nasogastric intubation, intravenous, intramuscular, subcutaneous, intraperitoneal, and dermal. Performed sample and data collections in primates, dogs, and pigs including daily viability and environmental checks, physical observations urine collection, ECGs, primate TB testing, assisted with ophthalmology examinations, blood collection (cephalic, femoral, jugular, saphenous, and vena cava), blood pressure measurements, and fecal collection. Performed routine husbandry procedures on primates, dogs, and pigs including feeding, watering, cleaning, cage changes, and enrichment. Reviewed study data to ensure compliance with GLPs, SOPs, protocols, company policies, the AWA, the Guide, PHS Policy and state and local regulations, policies and guidelines.

Collected GLP data and performed daily maintenance and husbandry of laboratory animals including cats, dogs, guinea pigs, mice, rabbits and rats following company SOPs and protocols. Assisted the technical staff in data and sample collections. Assisted with setup, animal restraint, and cleanup for juvenile dog inhalation studies.

Collected data, followed SOPs, observed animals, and performed routine husbandry for laboratory animals including mice, rats, gerbils, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, dogs, reptiles, amphibians, and marmosets.
