Brian Bellows began his career with the Travelers Employee Benefits Division in 1982 and spent the next 11 years in the field sales organization where he held a variety of different management positions . Brian was a nine-time field sales contest winner before being promoted to Vice President of Underwriting, Middle Market accounts in 1993. In this position Brian was responsible for management of underwriting staff, pricing strategies and P&L for the Eastern Region. In 1996, Brian was named Vice President of Sales within the UnitedHealthcare National Accounts segment where he was responsible for new business development and consultant relations activities in the Northeast. In January 2007 Brian was named National Vice President Consultant Relations and was responsible for developing and executing the National Accounts consultant relations strategy nationwide. In July 2014 Brian was named National Vice President Client Dev. within National Accounts. Brian was responsible for achieving membership and profitability objectives for the National Accounts Client Development sales team comprised of 9 Sales VP's. who managed the distribution of the company's products and services with focus on consultant strategy and proactive target marketing.Brian held the position of Meridian Leadership Council Chairman for two terms and was a twelve-time Pinnacle Sales Contest winner. Brian formally retired from UnitedHealthcare in June 2016 and then served in the contracted role as Chief Strategy Officer for The Progressive Group until Dec 2022.Brian attended Fairfield University in CT and majored in Political Science.
