As a Dutch student of International Business at The Hague University of Applied Sciences, I am developing a diverse skill set through both academic learning and practical experience. Currently, I am an intern in the Europe Business Services (EBS) Innovations & Projects team at Ahold Delhaize, where I support HR and IT-related projects across the company’s European brands. This role is giving me valuable exposure to the inner workings of a large, international retail organization.Having worked in retail for several years, I’ve developed a strong affinity for the sector, appreciating both its dynamic nature and its focus on customer experience and operational efficiency. My internship at Ahold Delhaize allows me to deepen my understanding of the retail industry from a corporate perspective, building on my previous experience as a team leader in a supermarket setting.Balancing my studies with hands-on work experience has shaped me into a driven, adaptable individual who thrives on responsibility. With a solid foundation in International Business, specializing in Human Resources, I am keen to explore opportunities that allow me to contribute to and grow within the retail sector, particularly in roles that bridge business operations and people management.
