Duties included determining actual output capability of facility; increase visibility of standard costs, and use my industrial engineering background to bring process efficiency.AccomplishmentsEvaluation of mold temperature stability led me to determine that mold cooling channels were deteriorated and/or blocked in some cases. Cleared passages on all molds which cut scrap rates from 20% to 5%Measured lost raw materials due to wear of molds and found cost savings of $15,000 per year by redesigning injection peanuts.Collaborated on project, partially funded by a State grant, to redesign several metal molds.
