Having spent 30 years as a Project Architect, I have worked on a wide range of building types located in various regions across South Africa. The journey from my hometown, Johannesburg, and then to Cape Town via Pietermaritzburg has helped consolidate my thoughts about building in relation to the environment. I formulate appropriate technological solutions as well as building techniques to address methods of construction specific to a region and its local labour skills. I ensure that my clients receive creations of the highest quality through my industry knowledge and years of on-site experience. I further guarantee successful project outcomes by effectively collaborating with designers, contractors, and the professional team. I have spent the last five years investigating sustainable electrical and hot water technology systems for homes. I did this in response to the pressing issues of global climate change and our localised energy crises. Through my work in upper market housing, I have been afforded the opportunity to test different sustainable systems, integrating them with municipal services to optimise efficiency and cost. I am always open to discussion, collaboration and building new relationships.
