My previous business Absara Audio was launched in 2004 along with co-founder David Koltai. Under Absara Audio, we built our fledgling brand, Pigtronix, into a highly respected designer and manufacturer of audio effects used by top musicians worldwide.In 2013, Absara Audio acquired the historic Supro trademark from former Fender amp designer and long-time Pigtronix friend and associate, Bruce Zinky. Supro’s origins can be traced back to 1930’s Chicago, where it played a part in the development of modern electric guitars and amplification. During our tenure with the brand, we brought the Supro legacy back from relative obscurity and re-established it among the highest respected brands of vintage style tube amplifiers used by professional musicians today.Supro and Pigtronix artists and enthusiasts include the likes of Joe Perry from Aerosmith, Robert Smith from The Cure, Lenny Kravitz, Bob Weir from The Grateful Dead, Billy Gibbons, Paul Simon, Joe Walsh, KT Tunstall and many more. I sold Supro and Pigtronix to D’Angelico Guitars in 2020.
