About Brian Bigras

I am super proud of the thirty-three years I spent serving my community as part of York Regional Police, but looking back I realize that it wasn't fighting crime or rising through the ranks that gives me the most satisfaction - it was helping people. For over three decades I fought against criminal organizations and assisted victims of violent crime and through it all I had the privilege of working alongside the very best in the criminal justice system to help make a difference in our society.Along the way I learned a lot about myself and a lot about people. How some people, through no fault of their own, can become marginalized, victimized, and in some ways, overlooked and forgotten. The drive to help people remains my greatest motivator, but after a lifetime of public service I’ve decided to chase challenges even bigger than traditional policing can offer. For a long time I’ve recognized the important role that private security can play in maintaining public safety and I’ve wanted to take the lead in building a team that provides professional and ethical security services to those in need.Enter the Sotera Investigative Group.A lifetime of hard work has given me the insight, knowledge, experience, and connections to really make a difference, and these are the things that I am bringing forward with me into this new and exciting chapter of my career.As a Managing Partner of Sotera I am dedicated to helping our clients get to the bottom of any issue they might be facing. We provide corporate and private investigations, risk management assessments, physical, personal, and cyber security assistance and offer industry-leading training in a variety of security related fields.I know what it takes to build the expert teams that will crack the biggest obstacles and overcome the toughest challenges to get the real world results our clients need, and that is what Sotera is all about.
