As CEO of Birnbaum Interpreting Services, I oversee more than 200 employees and contractors working to provide the highest quality Deaf access services. I have also worked as a creative writer, publishing dozens of essays, articles, reviews, ad copy, and even a novel (once upon a time). I come by way of Seattle, New York, and now Washington, D.C., where I work to keep growing BIS into a bigger and better business. I'm an avid reader of multifarious material, with most of my time filled with fiction but over the last few years taking a hard left into nonfiction, particularly business, finance, and markets. Currently, however, I'm reading FIT TO PRINT, about the life and times of former NYT editor A.M. Rosenthal. I live in Adams Morgan with my wife, Haley Birnbaum, and our cat, Bonnie.
