I am a seasoned franchise professional who has spent the last 55 years as a senior executive and board member of public and private companies in the retail, hospitality, service and franchise industries. I have provided strategic advice to small, midsize and Fortune 500 companies.In 1999, with two partners, we founded the first factoring and asset-based lending franchise in the world, Liquid Capital.From its inception until it's successful sale, I served as President. When the company was acquired by a hedge fund in 2018, it had almost 100 territories in five countries and four continents. As part of the acquisition I took an early retirement. During my tenure, Liquid Capital received more awards than any other B2B franchise, including the prestigious World Class Franchise award for 12 consecutive years, To me looking forward to retirement was akin to a trip to the dentist so I decided to join Franchise Beacon as CEO. Franchise Beacon, independently rated as one of the top franchise consulting companies in North America, has launch many franchisors and assisted several in reaching the top of their sector. Due to my unique background in both funding and franchising, I enabled Beacon to add a series of innovative and creative funding options for franchisors. The first program is Franchisor-Assisted Funding, which allows franchisors to help their franchisees fund their day-to-day business needs and future growth.Using MCA model and incorporating our knowledge of the franchise space, we can offer advances to new and existing franchisees. Additionally, franchisors may be able to add an Item 10 disclosure, affording them a unique advantage and the program can be white-labeled.The second program is one based on ABL designed for medium-size franchisors, with franchisees in the 50-400 range. This program allows for monetization of the franchisor's future royalty streams and provides lines between $1 and $20 million for any corporate need.
