As a lifelong learner and adventurer, I approach life with zest and energy, always seeking new experiences and challenges. I believe in living life to the fullest and not doing things halfway or halfheartedly. My curiosity drives me to explore new subjects and topics, constantly discovering and learning.In all my interactions, I strive to be kind and helpful, doing favors and good deeds for others, and taking care of them. I have found that humor can be a great way to bring smiles to people's faces and see the light side of things. But above all, I value honesty, speaking the truth, and presenting myself genuinely, taking responsibility for my actions and feelings.Professionally, I have had the privilege of serving as a CCR specialist in the Nebo School District CTE in Spanish Fork since 2018. I have also been a Health Science specialist and CCA specialist, developing collaborative relationships with Payson cone site and district middle schools. During my administrative internship in 2016-2017, I united cultures of administration and the Hispanic community at Spanish Fork High School, instituted flex time technology that tracked 1,100 students, keeping them safe at Salem Jr. High School, and supervised and trained teachers at Taylor Elementary School.As a contributor and co-author of Biology and Utah's Medical Anatomy & Physiology, I have been honored to have my work used by Utah teachers since 2011. I have also presented at various conferences, including the UACTE Mid-Winter Conference, CTE Visions Conference, and Summer Health Science Teachers Conference. In 2012, I was awarded the UCET Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award and the PHS Teacher of the Year Award in 2013.I have organized career and job fairs at Payson High School and placed and supervised 75 high school interns annually. Additionally, I am proficient in Spanish and often translate for students, parents, and administrators. I have chaired the Science Department at Payson High School and advised the student HOSA chapter while supervising student teachers from BYU and UVU.In all my professional endeavors, I have remained committed to fostering a love of learning and a spirit of adventure in my students and colleagues.
