To help make whatever I am associated with more successful and more fun! As I pass 34 years in the Outdoor Industry I have learned some valuable lessons or had them reinforced again and again. Following with conviction a position of integrity, treating people well and with respect does not go out of style. If you work to manage processes and protocols and provide a high level of support and direction with clear communication and are able to find the right people and get them on the team-the rest will take care of itself. People will always invest more time in your vision when they feel they are truly part of it and even more so when it is a shared mission. I really enjoy leading and being part of great teams that regularly surpass all expectations. Team and culture is incredibly important and there is no role within an organization that cannot be impactful to the whole. No role should be considered above or beneath you and one should not be afraid to roll up their sleeves and do the "dirty work" when it's needed. When it comes to sales, sell-thru is king/queen and everything in between. Support your customers in a way that they are partnered with and feel as though they are part of the successes and challenges and you will have partners-(and ideally friends)-for life. Passion for what you do will get you through the tough times and make the good times even better! Life is short, make it count!
