Brian Bogen is an advisor to Cascadia Capital. Bogen previously served as President and CEO of North Star Petroleum. North Star is one of the largest fuel distributors in Alaska and the largest fuel distributor and convenience store operator on the Islands of Maui and Hawaii. North Star is a subsidiary of Saltchuk, a diversified holding company and the largest privately held Company in the State of Washington. Bogen previously served as Vice President and Treasurer for SaltChuk. Bogen spent approximately 20 years at Saltchuk in different leadership roles. Prior to joining Saltchuk, Bogen was President of Bogen & Company, a financial consulting firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions and debt offerings.He was formerly Director, Corporate Finance, of the Commerce Bank of Washington; and as Vice President, Corporate Finance Group, of Security Pacific Bank/Rainier Bank.Mr. Bogen recently served as President of the Board of Directors for the Chief Seattle Council of the Boy Scouts of America and remains on the Executive Committee. Bogen served as President of the Northwest Forum, a group of PNW based business leaders. He served on the Board of Directors for Long Live the Kings and as Chair of the Finance Committee. Bogen also served as an elected town councilman for the town of Woodway.Bogen previously served on the Board of Navios, a leading global shipping company and currently serves on the Board of Hamilton Urban Partners, a leading apartment developer in the Seattle area.Bogen graduated from the University of Washington and attended the Albers Graduate School of Business at Seattle University. He graduated from the Senior Executive Program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2005. Bogen is an Eagle Scout and is a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award for distinguished service to the Boy Scouts of America. He enjoys Golfing, Fishing and Hunting.
